How to promote an art exhibition in London with a useful listing

Begin exhibition promotion with confirmed visitor information: dates, hours, address, a clear description and an accurate poster. Publish one useful event link that people can share, then choose promotion tools around the moments visitors can actually attend.

Practical guidance, not a venue review. Confirm the individual organiser's current dates, access and booking information.

Make the listing answer a visitor's questions

Explain what is being shown, who is involved and why a visitor might want to see it. Include the public date range, opening hours and full visitor address. Separate an opening evening or booking requirement from ordinary exhibition access. Practical clarity does more for a potential visit than repeating promotional adjectives.

Prepare the poster and any extra photographs you have permission to publish. Important dates, names and access instructions should also appear in text, not only inside the image. Check the preview to make sure an automatic crop has not removed information.

Allow time for review

London Art Alert reviews submissions before publication; the stated moderation window is 2-7 business days. A review window is not a guarantee that an incomplete listing will be accepted by a particular date. Submit accurate information with enough lead time for corrections, and monitor the event status in your dashboard.

Use genuine public dates even when an exhibition is already running. The current form allows a start up to seven days in the past and a duration of up to three calendar months. If those rules do not fit the event, contact the platform instead of changing facts to force acceptance.

Share the direct event link

Once approved, open the event details and use Copy link or a social sharing option. A direct event link lets someone reach the relevant listing rather than having to search the calendar. Add a short, accurate invitation explaining who the event is for and any booking step the reader must complete.

Social platforms can cache link previews, so a changed poster may not appear everywhere immediately. Keep your own message correct and use the organiser's booking link where one is required. A shared London Art Alert listing is a discovery route, not a ticket confirmation.

Choose paid visibility for a clear purpose

Check Pricing for the current Art Points packages and the previews for Bump and Highlight. These tools affect visibility within the platform; they are not a promise of attendance, sales or a Google ranking. Use the dashboard to choose the intended event rather than treating points as a ticketing product.

Decide which moment matters: an opening, a related session or the final public days. Keep the listing accurate after promotion begins. Measure enquiries and actual attendance separately from views or saved-event counts; those signals describe interest, not identical outcomes.

Quick answers

Does buying Art Points guarantee attendance?

No. Art Points fund platform listing and visibility tools, not attendance or search positions.

Where do I find current package prices?

Use Pricing for current prices and quantities; this guide does not replace checkout information.
